This subreddit is geared toward the United States Army, but all are welcome to join regardless of military service. Nobody's going to hire a private who's only been in the Army 8 months to do anything of importance, unless it's to supervise local nationals on some FOB in Afghanistan.Weekly Question Thread Recruiter Thread Welcome to /r/army You need deployments, schools, active duty time. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear. It's not a market right now for someone with your background. People are leaving the military in droves. There are thousands of people out there with a TS who are 35F MOS qualified looking for jobs. I went through the application and interviewing process, everyone wants experience. If you're looking for career options in intelligence going your route isn't the way. junior analysts typically wanted 4 years. I got out with 6 years experience, 24 months of deployment, and a bachelors and that barely qualified me for the mid-level tier analysts.

Just having a TS clearance may get you in the door to some type of job - but you'll probably have to deploy and it won't be doing anything of any significance. It sucks you won't get the training you seek in the reserves. Like literally none, not just deployment experience. Nobody will hire you as an Intelligence Analyst you have no experience.
